Igniting Change in the Pacific West

Our clients are unique in their size, age, and stage of development, spanning service areas from urban to rural landscapes across Oregon, Washington, Northern California, and Hawai’i.

Our dedication extends to three primary pillars of impact:

COMMUNITY-BASED NONPROFITS

Ranging from grassroots initiatives to statewide and regional organizations, we provide tailored support to strengthen capacity, elevate impact, and amplify our nonprofit clients’ positive influence in their communities.

FOUNDATION AND CORPORATE PHILANTHROPIC ENTITIES

We craft strategic partnerships with foundation and corporate grantmakers to guide meaningful change in rural and urban communities across the Pacific West.

COMMUNITY RESILIENCE THROUGH DISASTER PHILANTHROPY

We're your partners in building resilient communities from disaster philanthropy to community-led initiatives that support the Pacific West throughout all stages of the disaster life cycle.

High Value Strategic Projects

At Kelley & Co, you will work with nonprofits, philanthropic institutions, and public agencies on a wide variety of high-level strategic projects. Our previous work has included:

  • Managing the Oregon Disaster Funders Network, an initiative that fosters greater cohesion within the philanthropic sector by uniting more than 30 private foundations to champion disaster response, recovery, and resilience efforts across Oregon and beyond.
  • Collaborating with the State of Oregon’s economic development agency on their Rural Opportunities Initiative, through which we build capacity in small rural communities across the state.
  • Leading community engagement and strategic planning for a variety of programs and organizations, including a statewide AmeriCorps program that serves rural Oregon and had lost its federal funding. We designed surveys, conducted focus groups and in-depth interviews, and analyzed and presented data.
  • Launching the Federal Readiness and Leverage Fund, a single access point through which grantseekers share requests with multiple grantmakers, strengthening collaboration across public, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors.
  • Supporting organizations with public and legislative advocacy, including preparing legislative testimony and organizing in-person events like the Oregon Resilience Summit.
