For over 20 years, you may have known us as Kelley Nonprofit Consulting. Our founder and CEO, Kristin Kelley Monahan, started as a one-woman operation: a fund development professional with a vision to strengthen the work of nonprofits from behind the scenes–building capacity for the greatest good–to maximize their positive impacts on community.
Still aligned with that founding principle, we have grown into a much bigger ecosystem of specialized technical assistance services, reaching not just direct service nonprofit partners, but also jurisdictions, philanthropy, and the public sector. We still provide individualized services for an array of organizations of all sizes, sectors and stages of development. But we also have worked, for the past decade especially, to create new models, collaboratives, statewide funding networks and events that multiply and leverage where and how community organizations, jurisdictions, philanthropy and government intersect. To better represent what we do, how we do it and who we serve, we have rebranded as Kelley & Co.
New Look, Same Commitment to Our Clients

To our incredible clients–thank you for being our growth partners, and continuing to trust us with making your boldest visions for the public good a reality. You can expect the same great boutique, personalized services, and then some. We are continuing to expand and adapt our services, one hand on the pulse of our communities’ greatest challenges, and another on the evolution of nonprofit, philanthropic, and government sectors to deliver industry-leading support as you navigate a rapidly changing environment.
Our new logomark–the collaborative compass–represents our continued commitment to meeting you where you are and pointing you in the right direction, whether that’s:
- Identifying a new funding partner
- Preparing for a new grant opportunity
- Developing a user-friendly and engaging website
- Drafting policies and programs to further your mission
- Connecting with potential collaborators
- Creating a brand new look for your organization
- Innovating new tools and resources for your complex challenges
Kelley & Co. is guiding the best available resources to your greatest need, and our talented team of specialists will be with you every step of the way to listen, support, strategize, and elevate your mission.
Anatomy of a Brand
Our design team has been crafting this new brand identity through several iterations, trying to capture the dynamic array of services and clients that make up the Kelley & Co. ecosystem. Check out the brand elements below, along with some quotes from our design specialists who brought them to life:
Logomark

The mark is built from four abstract forms that meet at the center, suggesting collaboration and shared momentum. Each shape can be read as a directional arrow or guiding hand, representing the different partners, nonprofits, and funders that come together through Kelley & Co. The cluster forms a kind of collaborative compass—a symbol of alignment, strategy, and movement toward a shared goal.
Typography

The typography represents collaboration across differing elements. The clean geometric sans-serif signals clarity, professionalism, and modern nonprofit consulting—it’s serious enough for funders and institutions, but still approachable for community organizations. Together, the icon and type create a mark that feels structured and strategic while still personal, cooperative, and energetic.
Colors

We retained variations of our trademark greens to honor our history and founding principles that are still with us, and as a nod to the lush forests of our home, the Pacific Northwest. The key to the rebranded color scheme was developing a robust, vibrant palette of accent colors that can both stand apart and work together when needed. This bright, energetic expanded palette can flexibly support sub-branded services while keeping presentations and collateral materials lively.
